Termite Technician Responsibilities- Identify customer’s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
- Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
- Apply anti‑termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions
- Communicate to the customer critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity, discuss procedures and structural modifications that may be supplemental to the treatment process
- Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
- Complete production forms documenting services provided
- Interact with customers and explain services provided
- Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
- Prepare the job site for treatment
- Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders
- Be comfortable working 20 feet up on a ladder and in small confined spaces
- General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is a plus
- Ability to work on roofs and high areas
- Move frequently—sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and moving up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator, and be comfortable working in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways
- Clean shaven face (for safety reasons, rebreathers must seal the face)
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass a pre‑employment background screen
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (company vehicle and gas card provided)
- At least 1 year of customer service experience; experience in termite control is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Flexibility with working hours, Monday‑Friday and Saturdays as needed
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)
- Basic math skills—add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labels
Hourly: $17.00 – $23.00
