Advanced Practice Provider - UAB Medicine Gardendale Primary Care
The following APPs may be considered for this role:
Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Full-time, benefited. Day shift, Mon‑Fri 8am‑5pm.
CME AllowancePart‑time and full‑time benefited APPs receive an annual $2,000.00 CME allowance.
Qualifications- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Physician Assistant
- Provide medical care and treatment within established scope of practice under the direction of a collaborating physician or board‑certified physician.
- Collaborate with the physician, ensuring availability for direct communication, consultation, and referral.
- Coordinate plan of care, discharge, and specialty referrals tailored to patient needs.
- Plan and coordinate health‑care education for the patient, family, and other health‑care providers.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
- Interpret, analyze, and evaluate the patient’s medical record and social data.
- Assist or perform procedures per collaborative agreement.
- Participate in performance‑improvement activities.
