Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab - Gardendale, Alabama

Step into a vital role supporting a busy cardiovascular team, delivering expert care to patients in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. This contract assignment offers an opportunity to make a significant impact while working alongside experienced clinicians in a well-equipped cath lab.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• 4x10 hour shifts
• 8-week duration
• 8 days of on-call required, including 1 weekend every 4 weeks

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab experience
• Prior travel cath lab nursing strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
• Valid ACLS and BLS certifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely prepare, monitor, and recover patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and related procedures
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care
• Actively monitor patient status, anticipating and rapidly responding to clinical changes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Cerner
• Provide prompt on-call support as scheduled
• Strict adherence to infection control, safety, and compliance protocols
