Job Summary
As a registered nurse (RN) at Gardiner Family Medicine, you will play a crucial role in facilitating healthcare services and ensuring patient well-being. You will help manage chronic conditions, coordinate health screenings, assist with medical procedures, and perform telephone triage, appointment scheduling, and emergency response to provide comprehensive patient care within the community.
What You’ll Do- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education tailored to age, culture, and circumstances.
- Takes calls from patients/caregivers requesting assistance, provides advice, referrals, and patient education.
- Assess symptomatic patients to determine necessity and type of care, advising callers appropriately.
- Perform administrative duties such as data collection, answering phones, scheduling tests/procedures and appointments, calling in prescriptions, determining insurance coverage, billing and receiving payments.
- Possibly operate a motor vehicle to conduct Maine General Health business.
- Active RN license in the State of Maine (or ability to obtain promptly).
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team.
