Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team at the Alzheimer’s Care Center in Gardiner. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide meaningful, person-centered care to individuals living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, supporting both their physical and emotional well-being.

• Shift: Days (6a-2p)
• $7,500 sign-on bonus potential for experienced CNAs
• To qualify for the bonus:
  Must have one year of CNA experience
• Must accept at least a 30-hour-per-week position.
• Current Maine General employees are ineligible; former Maine General employees are ineligible until greater than 1 year of separation from employment

• Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice.
• Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Greets patients and visitors.
• Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.
• Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.

• Valid Maine CNA certification or ability to obtain one within 120 days of hire
• A genuine passion for caring for older adults and individuals with memory loss
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Compensation Information: $19.65 - $34.39 The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
