• Understanding and safely following directions given by supervisors and co‑workers.
• Performs hand excavation of utilities while in confined areas such as trenches.
• Assists in the installation of various underground and above ground piping systems.
• Carrying out all greasing and fluid checks on excavation equipment as directed.
• Loading and unloading of tools, equipment and materials safely.
• Climbing a ladder to enter and exit underground excavations and equipment.
  Assisting with traffic control duties as we will train you as a flagger.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Written and verbal skills necessary to understand tasks assigned.
• Must be able to function safely with minimal supervision.
• Must be comfortable working around heavy equipment and machinery. Our job sites can be very noisy and congested with other trades present.
• An OSHA 10 card will be required (training provided).
• Must have transportation to the West Gardiner office. Timely attendance and punctuality.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic tool knowledge necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to lift heavy loads continuously. Lifting, pulling and pushing are normal tasks.
• Able to stand, crouch, crawl, sit, bend, lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly up to 100 lbs. as needed.
• Must be able to work in a consistent noisy and dusty environment that requires hearing PPE to be worn the majority of the 8 to 10 workdays.
• Overtime work will be mandatory at times; weekend work will be available but not mandatory.
• Ability to work outside daily for extended periods of time in all weather conditions, heat/cold/wind/rain.
