The Opportunity

Pay Rate: $28-34/hr DOE, plus company vehicle with gas card. We are experiencing explosive growth and are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair drill equipment, hoe‑rams, skid steers, and other equipment across our regional footprint.

Responsibilities
  • Replace and repair broken equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical problems in motors, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Provide field service and repairs on various equipment
  • Coordinate with Equipment Manager for parts and supplies necessary for repairs and rebuilds
  • Use and operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Identify safety hazards proactively and act to eliminate them
  • Complete accurate maintenance documentation and records
  • Participate in Equipment Manager meetings as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must own hand tools up to 1 5/8" or be willing to invest in them
  • Good driving record
  • Must obtain DOT Medical Card
  • Pass ATF screening
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the position
  • Physical ability to lift 50-100 lbs 30-40% of the time and stoop or bend 30-40% of the time
  • Physical ability to work outside on uneven, loose surfaces in varying weather conditions
About You

This mid‑level mechanic role is ideal for a high school or technical school graduate, preferably ASE certified in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance, with 3-5 years of experience. You are a self‑starter, discipline‑driven, safety‑conscious, and independent worker. Core skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, diesel motors, welding, electrical systems, and PLCs are required. Military experience is valued but not mandatory.
