Job Description
The Practice Manager “PM” has accountability for all aspects of the location business operations. As a team leader at a people‑first organization, the PM guides their team through development programs of coaching, mentoring, and performance management. The PM is responsible for driving top‑line sales, increasing margin, controlling payroll expenses, and improving profitability to meet the company’s overall business objectives. The PM works directly with staff and OD partners to ensure professional eye exams and medical services, quality product selection, acceptance of vision insurance plans, and remarkable patient service.

Location: Gardner, Kansas, USA
Schedule: Full‑time
Responsibilities- Apply leadership, creative thinking, and analytical skills to improve practice performance and solve operational issues.
- Build an effective, collaborative team that achieves results.
- Address the practice’s strengths and challenges with clear objectives, strategies, and plans.
- Set clear objectives for staff, communicate expectations precisely, and maintain high performance standards.
- Set the standard for remarkable patient services and experiences using the Acuity Way.
- Identify and recruit top talent that matches AEG’s values and supports long‑term sustainability.
- Collaborate closely with the District Manager to achieve and exceed financial plans.
- Adapt quickly to new problems and devise creative solutions.
- Demonstrate relentless focus on results and share best practices across the AEG platform.
- Maintain an open mind and adapt efficiently to change.
- Marshal resources to complete tasks efficiently and orchestrate multiple activities to accomplish goals through superior service.
- Review daily sales, identify gaps, and implement solutions to close those gaps.
- Reinforce the practice selling strategy and the Acuity Way.
- Protect the company through loss prevention.
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure employees follow handbook guidelines.
- 3–5 years of professional experience with leadership responsibilities.
- Business degree in Hospitality, Business, or related management field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Optician certification preferred.
