• Ensure all equipment, food prep areas, dishes, and utensils are cleaned in accordance with Food Safety guidelines.
• Empty and clean all trash receptacles.
• Provide assistance to the prep cook and kitchen as needed.
• Know and practice rotation procedures to ensure product dates are properly monitored.
• Ensure all coolers, freezers, and preparation areas are clean and set up in advance for deliveries.
• Quickly unload incoming shipments and neatly stock them in their designated areas without damaging merchandise.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards to produce desired team and individual results.
• Be familiar with the items in your department to accurately and courteously answer customer questions.
• Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner and involve store management when appropriate.
• Know and implement Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards.
• Able to operate, clean, and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
• Know, comply with, and encourage others to comply with health regulations, sanitation guidelines and safety procedures for your department and store.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills for positive customer and peer interactions.
• Demonstrate basic math and reading skills required for the position.

• Promote department sales by suggesting additional products and offering samples.
• Create visually pleasing display cases that promote sales and showcase high-quality items.
• Support the company by completing additional tasks identified by management, assisting other stores or departments as needed, and gaining new skills when necessary.

• Reaching overhead with both arms up to 74 inches; twisting at the waist; lifting up to 5 lbs.
• Pushing and pulling grocery items up to 10 lbs as needed.
• Standing and walking for long periods on hard surfaces.
• Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs.
• Bending and squatting; ability to work in cooler conditions.
• Non-climbable ladder work up to 5 ft may be required.

High School or equivalent or better.

Customer service skills.
