We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Design/Build Sales & Project Manager to join our growing team.

Position Overview

The Design/Build Sales & Project Manager is responsible for guiding clients through the entire outdoor living project journey—from initial consultation and concept development to project completion and final walkthrough.

This role combines sales, light design consultation, project planning, and project management. Working alongside our in-house designer and production teams, you will help clients bring their outdoor living dreams to life while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Rooted Landscape’s high standards.

The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, solving problems, creating outdoor spaces, and managing projects from start to finish.

What You’ll Do
  • Meet with prospective clients to understand their goals, needs, and budget.
  • Conduct on-site consultations and property evaluations.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
  • Present design concepts and project recommendations.
  • Follow up on leads and maintain an active sales pipeline.
  • Build long-term relationships that generate referrals and repeat business.
  • Achieve sales and gross profit goals established by leadership.
Design Consultation & Project Planning
  • Collaborate with clients to develop creative outdoor living solutions.
  • Work closely with our Landscape Designer to develop plans and presentations.
  • Assist with project layout, material selections, and budgeting.
  • Help clients make informed decisions regarding landscaping, hardscaping, pools, outdoor kitchens, patios, retaining walls, drainage solutions, lighting, and outdoor living amenities.
  • Develop detailed project scopes and production plans.
Project Management
  • Manage projects from signed contract through completion.
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings with clients and production teams.
  • Coordinate materials, subcontractors, equipment, permits, and schedules.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and profitability.
  • Visit job sites regularly to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate project updates proactively with clients.
  • Manage change orders and project adjustments.
  • Conduct final walkthroughs and ensure exceptional project delivery.
  • Work closely with designers, production managers, crew leaders, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Support continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in landscape sales, construction sales, project management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of landscaping, hardscaping, outdoor living, or construction preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building and sales abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience reading landscape plans and construction drawings is a plus.
  • Proficiency with CRM and estimating software.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
