Job Summary

The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s purchasing strategy to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials, components, equipment, and services required for operations. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, monitors market conditions, and ensures procurement practices align with company goals for quality, cost control, and operational efficiency. The Procurement Manager collaborates closely with operations, engineering, finance, and leadership teams to maintain supply continuity while identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that support operational requirements and company growth.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supply chain optimization, and process improvements.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, price, and service.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable cost and service agreements.
  • Manage vendor agreements and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Work closely with inventory control and production teams to ensure adequate material supply.
  • Manage procurement budgets and track purchasing expenditures.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through supplier negotiations, alternative sourcing, and process improvements.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure purchased materials meet product specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Support quoting process with material cost inputs.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of procurement experience in manufacturing, preferably in wire and cable or similar industrial environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience negotiating supplier contracts and managing long-term agreements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
