Job DescriptionGeneral Statement of Duties
This posting is an open pool position. There may or may not be available openings at this time; when an opening occurs, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants on file as needed.
Provides administrative and technical support to the Automotive Tech program faculty staff, students, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors, vendors, and maintenance/facility personnel at the academic site located at 42 Linus Allain in Gardner, MA;
- Scheduling live work, coordinating ordering parts with customers, contacting customers when their vehicles are ready for pickup, and identifying a pickup plan;
- Coordinating with the Program Administrator for campus operations that include the Student Resource Room, Marty's Market, student programming, and specialty events;
- Providing general support for students, instructors, and the Program Administrator;
- Managing special divisional projects as assigned and supervised by the Dean of Business, Science, Technology and Mathematics;
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent credential;
- Proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook;
- Strong customer service skills and understanding of how to handle sensitive, confidential, or restricted information;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and organizational skills;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an automotive setting and comfort with relating vehicle repairs to customers;
- Familiarity with Canva;
- Willingness to take direction, learn new skills, and contribute to a collaborative team environment;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently on tasks.

The automotive facility is open Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. Hours worked will be during these hours based on needs of the business.
