Job Description:

General Statement of Duties:

The non credit instructor provides instruction in Specific Academic Subject Matter: ex. MCAS,SAT,STEM,Science, Mathematics, English, Languages, Reading etc.

Responsibilities:

* Provide instruction to program classes;

* Develop implementation strategy and curriculum;

* Participate in student assistance/advisement;

* Work collaboratively with Academic Counselors and Specialists and other program staff to provide appropriate accommodations for individual students;

* Work together across curriculum with other instructors throughout the program;

* Maintain adequate grant documentation if appropriate;

* Assist in creating a supportive educational atmosphere for project participants;

* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor required or in progress in appropriate field;

* Evidence of commitment to classroom teaching/learning;

* Willingness to advise students to meet their goals;

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

DESIRED

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Masters Degree in appropriate field;

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

* Demonstrated knowledge of subject to be taught;

* Demonstrated ability to teach and motivate low-level learners;

* Demonstrated ability to incorporate research methodology and technology in the classroom;

* Ability to work effectively with a culturally and educationally diverse student population

Additional Information:

Salary: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour, varies with position
