Position: SUCCESS Mentor (Pool) Part Time - Mount Wachusett Community College
Job Description:

This particular job posting is a "Pool" position. General Statement of Duties

SUCCESS Mentors are student representatives who support the college's mission while assisting prospective students throughout the enrollment process.

Responsibilities

* Participate, lead and implement summer programming initiatives for new SUCCESS students

* Participate in New Student Orientation

* Participate in SUCCESS programming & workshops to encourage attendance

* Participate in SUCCESS social events to encourage community building

* Assist new students with transition to college life by providing a safe, accepting and helpful environment

* Help students reach their academic, social and personal goals by connecting them to appropriate campus resources and professionals based on individual needs

* Co-facilitate new student programming workshops

* Communicate with students about upcoming campus and community events

* Demonstrate appropriate behaviors inside and outside of the classroom

* Attend all regularly scheduled staff meetings

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must have completed two semesters and was an active participant in the SUCCESS Program

* Must be a currently enrolled MWCC student (minimum 6 credit hours per semester) in good academic standing;

* Able to commit to at least 4 hours per week per semester

* Ability to foster encouraging and intentional relationships with students, faculty and staff

Salary: $15.00 per hour
