Job Title

To assist School Administration in providing delivery of all school services to students, staff, parents, and the community.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
  • Experience working in an educational setting preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Excel and software programs such as Rediker specifically designed for schools).
  • Secretarial skills including typing, filing, and answering the phone; the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work with direct and indirect supervision; excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – being able to deal with students, parents, staff and the public in an amiable and courteous manner.

Reports To: School Principal

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Being the initial point of contact in a busy elementary office; greeting students, parents, staff, community members, etc.
  • Organizing attendance and other reports.
  • Registering all new students, sending for their school records and keeping all student information up-to-date at all times.
  • Withdrawing students, being sure they have all the proper paperwork and all student information is updated.
  • Preparing for the new school year for students and teachers (i.e., bus lists, homeroom lists, distributing materials, lunch forms, etc.).
  • Providing and/or designing forms when needed (i.e., attendance forms, late slips, progress reports, etc.) for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Keeping all records current and up-to-date by changing student data in the database when necessary.
  • Assisting principal with necessary forms, record keeping and paperwork to organize yearly budget.
  • Completing all ordering of supplies, software, books, etc. for the start of the school year and throughout the school year as necessary.
  • Helping organize school events (i.e., graduation, staff trainings, etc.)
  • All other duties as assigned by the School Principal.
