Pay Range: $18.37 - $27.55 an hour, Full-time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Branch Manager
Pay within the range posted will be commensurate with the individual’s experience and qualifications for this role.
This position is located at our Parker St., Gardner, MA location.
Responsibilities:
- Greet members warmly and identify their needs through active listening and engaging conversation.
- Assist members with various banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and cash handling with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Educate members on available financial products and services, promoting upselling opportunities that align with their goals.
- Detect and prevent potential fraud by monitoring transactions and recognizing suspicious activity in accordance with security protocols.
- Manage customer relationships by providing personalized service, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Support cash management tasks such as balancing registers, handling debits & credits, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
- Continue and meet ongoing training requirements both regulatory and skills enhancement through continuous learning proactively and as required.
- Participate in the Credit Union's Community and Civic engagement program.
Knowledge and
Skills:
- Proven experience in financial sales and customer relationship management within a banking or retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of banking operations including cash handling, and cashiering procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately using retail math, cash management techniques, and 10 key typing skills.
- Familiarity with financial software systems used for transaction processing and account management.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse members.
- Knowledge of fraud prevention and detection strategies to safeguard member assets.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
