Experienced Machine Set-Up Operator

Standard Chair is looking for an experienced and reliable furniture stainer.

• Surface Preparation:
  Sand, clean, and condition wood surfaces to ensure proper stain adhesion.
• Stain Application:
  Use brushes, pads, sponges, spray guns, or dipping methods to apply stains evenly.
• Color Matching:
  Select and mix stains to match existing finishes or client specifications.
• Quality Control:
  Inspect finished pieces for defects and retouch as needed to match approved sample.
• Tool Maintenance:
  Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use.
• Safety & Compliance:
  Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and solvents.

• Experience in furniture staining, sanding or a related role within woodworking and furniture manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of various sanding tools and techniques, including hand sanding and power sanding.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to operate sanding machines, assess furniture for damage, and apply appropriate sanding techniques for different types of wood and finishes.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices.
• Provide feedback on production processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

Hours of operation:
Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm;
Friday 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. Overtime is available. Compensation is based on experience.
