Job Description

Title:

Registered Nurse - Surgical Day Care

Schedule:

24-Hours, Day/Evening, (3) 8 hour shifts, On call per rotation on weeknights/weekends and holidays

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed

Hours:

Normal

Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum one year acute care nursing experience required
- Current Registered Nurse license in state
- Current ACLS, PALS required
- IV certifications preferred

Roles & Responsibilities :
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient care plans.
- Provide patient care in accordance with standards, protocols, and policies.
- Respect each patient's dignity and provide emotional support.
- Teach patients and families based on identified needs and learning readiness.
- Manage medication administration and perform assessments to monitor pain levels.
- Coordinate pre-admission and post-operative care for Surgical Day Care patients.
