As a Med Surg Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing patient care based on standards of care and protocols
• Respecting each patient as an individual and fostering their dignity
• Teaching patients and families based on identified learning needs
• Collaboratively planning patient discharge with support systems
• Delegating and supervising nursing interventions appropriately
• Prioritizing patient care and seeking assistance when needed
• Documenting all pertinent data and patient responses accurately
• Ensuring continuity of care through effective communication with team members
• Promoting learning and professional development for colleagues and self
• Administering medications and intravenous therapy safely
• Assessing and managing patient pain levels effectively
• Interpreting and documenting patient cardiac data
• Providing ongoing assessment and teaching to surgical patients
• Utilizing pain management devices and troubleshooting equipment
• Identifying and addressing ethical issues in patient care

Requirements for this role include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current MA RN license
• ACLS upon hire or active BLS card with AHA ACLS within 60 days
• PALS preferred
• Need 1 year experience in setting
• Demonstrates mature professional behaviors and promotes a positive working environment
