Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Call for Salary Rate –

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and education while adhering to established standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and continuously reevaluate patient conditions, developing and adjusting care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and other treatments following physician orders and safety guidelines.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret data, and implement appropriate interventions based on findings.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and timely, ensuring continuity across the healthcare team.
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks to team members while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Valid and current RN license in the state.
• Proven experience in medical-surgical nursing for at least 1 year.
• Experience with telemetry and pediatrics preferred.
• Demonstrates professional behaviors, including empathy, tact, and diplomacy.
• Ability to assess patient needs quickly and respond effectively.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification within 60 days of hire; PALS preferred.
