We are partnering with a confidential global manufacturing company that is hiring a Quality Metrology Supervisor for its facility in the Gardner, MA

Position Highlights
  • Title:

    Quality Metrology Leader
  • Leadership opportunity overseeing laboratory
  • High-visibility role with responsibility for laboratory quality and accreditation

  • Experience supervising or leading laboratory
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
  • Experience with laboratory accreditation, audits, corrective actions, and management reviews
  • Experience with calibration programs, equipment traceability, scheduling, and calibration records
  • Familiarity with metrology equipment such as:
    • CMMs
    • Vision systems
    • Optical comparators
    • Height gages
    • Surface plates
  • Experience working with outside calibration vendors and managing calibration activities
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, customer audits, A2LA assessments, or other regulated quality environments is highly valued
Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise the company's laboratory
  • Prepare for and support ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation activities and assessments
  • Ensure measuring and inspection equipment is properly calibrated, accurate, and traceable
  • Manage internal and external calibration activities
  • Maintain laboratory systems and ensure audit readiness
  • Lead internal and external audits and coordinate corrective actions
  • Support management reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage calibration schedules, equipment recalls, and calibration records
  • Work with outside calibration providers as needed
  • Investigate and resolve metrology and quality issues
  • Ensure laboratory processes consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with quality, engineering, manufacturing, and other internal teams
  • Help ensure customers can have complete confidence in the company's measurement results
