The Store Area Supervisor oversees the daily operations and merchandising of assigned areas. This role ensures smooth freight flow while prioritizing exceptional customer experiences, under the guidance of a designated Team Leader. This position serves as a development path for future OSJL team leaders, encouraging growth toward leadership positions.

• Provide exceptional customer service and foster an inclusive environment in line with the company model.
• Bridge customer needs with corporate service and ensure effective resolution.
• Promote company-wide customer initiatives (donations, loyalty programs, promotions).
• Create effective work schedules for the assigned area.
• Offer guidance and support to the team to ensure task completion and a collaborative environment.
• Support training for store associates to foster growth.
• Manage merchandise presentation and ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate signage, ticketing, backroom stock, and sales floor flow.
• Verify pricing accuracy of incoming shipments and report discrepancies.
• Identify and display priority items effectively.
• Handle packaways, returns to warehouse, transfers, recalls, and returns per company policies.
• Uphold store safety and maintenance standards.
• Supervise store operations when designated, including opening and closing procedures.
• Operate a cash register as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

• 1 or more years of professional experience in retail environments.
• Customer service experience and training experience; experience with merchandise ordering, receiving, stocking, and maintenance preferred.
• Computer skills (Google Suite: Email, Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets) and Qlik.
• Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work in a climate-controlled environment with physical requirements to move, stand, and assist with tasks throughout the shift; may include lifting up to 35 lbs.
