This role is a learning role with opportunities for promotion to Mobile Expert after training completion.
you’ll do in your role
Learn and build proficiency in customer service while delivering a best-in-class customer experience and building loyalty by:
- Helping customers pick up where they left off in their shopping journey—online, via Customer Care, or in-store
- Exploring individual needs and providing hands-on demonstrations of the latest technology in-store
- Side-by-side selling to find personalized solutions beyond the bare-bones device and service plan, including accessories and up-and-coming Internet of Things (IoT) devices
- Guiding customers through their purchasing experience with thoughtful questions, informative answers, and shared expertise
- Approaching service and sales needs with patience, honesty, and empathy
- Learn to use tools to enhance interactions and onboarding, including demonstrations of coverage, network performance, and plans
- Explain how plans and services enable customers to stay connected and reach their lifestyle goals
- Understand processes for device and account inspection, review, and troubleshooting
- Complete in-store training on experience, skills, processes, systems, and reference resources
- Build relationships with teammates and partners across channels to enhance the customer experience
- Identify and hand off appropriate small business leads
- Develop strong peer relationships and maintain accountability for the company’s success
- Contribute to a positive team environment while delivering first-class customer service
- A strong desire to learn and master the skills required of customer advocates and to build meaningful connections with customers
- Competitive drive and confidence to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment
- Willingness to collaborate with peers and store leaders, share best practices, and resolve customer issues
- Ability to balance customer experience with performance goals
- 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail environment preferred

- Be at least 18 years of age
- High school degree or GED
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs
- Reliable transportation
- Full-time (40 hours) or Part-time (20+ hours) availability
