The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Garfield Heights, OH. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing. The Accountant prepares financial statements and reports, supports budgeting and forecasting, and monitors expenses to ensure accurate cost allocation across projects. The role also includes maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies, assisting with audits, and collaborating with operations and management to provide financial insights for decision-making.
Qualifications- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Quick Books or similar systems, Excel) and ability to work with data accurately and efficiently.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking, preferably in construction, property management, or commercial services.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in Garfield Heights, OH, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an inclusive, professional manner.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA or progress toward certification) are a plus.
- Prior experience in an accounting role (1–3 years preferred) and familiarity with inventory or job-cost accounting is beneficial.
