Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN with an active OH or compact RN license and strong telemetry background.
Responsibilities- Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift position with options for 3x12, 4x12, or 2x12 hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
- Care for adult patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring
- ECG rhythm recognition skills required
- Use of Qualivis – Lotus system for submitting hours
- Perform nursing care for a diverse adult Med/Surg Tele patient population
- Must be able to pass required clinical assessments as part of orientation
- Assignments at this health system cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, with a required six-month break before returning
- Dress code, holiday, and floating requirements may be discussed during onboarding
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- At least 18 months of permanent MS/Tele experience prior to travel assignments
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Must be willing to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments during orientation is required
- One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or charge RN in the Med/Surg Tele specialty is required
