About This Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager – ICU at Cleveland Clinic will support the nurse manager by providing clinical supervision and unit coordination. This role is ideal for those looking to gain extensive leadership experience while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

What You'll Do
  • Provide direction and support to the unit staff and supervise admissions.
  • Conduct assessments of patient’s needs and initiate nursing care plans.
  • Evaluate and document patient progress.
  • Facilitate planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between the manager, staff, and other areas within the organization.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting patient care services.
  • Prepare schedule of work assignments assuring adequate coverage.
  • Participate in and support quality improvement projects and research initiatives.
  • Assist in orienting new personnel and continuing education programs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required
  • Experience: 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience required;
    Leadership experience preferred
  • Licenses &

    Certifications:

    Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN);
    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
