The extruder operator plays a critical role in the durable goods manufacturing process by ensuring the efficient and safe operation of production machinery and equipment. This position is responsible for maintaining consistent product quality while adhering to established safety and operational protocols. The extruder Operator collaborates closely with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing cycle.

Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to optimize workflow and minimize downtime. Ultimately, the extruder operator contributes to the overall success of the manufacturing facility by supporting high standards of productivity and quality control.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret production instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with durable goods manufacturing equipment and quality control standards.
  • Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform minor equipment adjustments.
  • Certification in workplace safety or equipment operation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to produce durable goods according to specifications.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the maintenance team and supervisors promptly.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Document production data accurately and assist in inventory management and material handling as needed.
Skills:

The required skills enable the Operator C to efficiently manage and operate production machinery while maintaining safety and quality standards. Attention to detail is crucial for identifying defects and ensuring products meet specifications. Physical stamina and manual dexterity are used daily to handle equipment and materials safely. Preferred skills such as mechanical aptitude and prior manufacturing experience enhance the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs, reducing downtime.

Effective communication skills support collaboration with team members and supervisors, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
