Accounts Payable Specialist

Next Step Recruiting has partnered with a leading communications and technology company based in Eastern Dallas County to find an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. An ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail, adaptability, and strong communication skills in a manual AP processing environment.

Required
:

• 3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience with a solid understanding of the AP lifecycle
• Strong understanding of manual AP processes, including PO/Non-PO invoices and 2-way/3-way matching
• Ability to work across multiple systems, including Net Suite, JD Edwards, SAP, Jaggaer, and Microsoft Access
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (X-Lookups, V-Lookups, Pivot Tables)
• Excellent communication skills via email and phone
• Proven attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve transaction discrepancies
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving policies, procedures and system transitions
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, particularly during the month‑close

Preferred
:

• Experience working in a multi-system AP environment
• Familiarity with Adobe Sign for approval workflows
• Background in modernizing or transitioning outdated processes
