What You’ll Do
Relate Search has partnered with a long-standing industrial manufacturing organization in their search for a Business Development Executive to support growth across multiple industrial market segments. This role will focus on expanding existing customer relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities within complex, engineered B2B environments. The individual in this position will play a key role in strengthening market presence, driving revenue growth, and positioning specialized material-handling solutions with industrial customers.
Responsibilities- Analyze historical customer and market data to identify growth opportunities, including applications, products, pricing, and margin trends.
- Develop and execute a business development plan to expand the installed base and generate new customers across engineering firms, integrators, corporate entities, and plant-level end users.
- Build deep knowledge of targeted industrial market segments and the solutions best suited to those applications.
- Partner with product management and engineering teams to coordinate configured product designs that meet customer specifications.
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings through presentations and product demonstrations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of sales, sales management, or business development experience within industrial markets.
- Demonstrated success selling engineered capital equipment, particularly material-handling solutions.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trust and credibility with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to understand mechanically complex products and clearly communicate their value and application benefits.
