Job Role s and Responsibilities
Project Management:
Manage construction staking projects from start to finish while ensuring services meet company quality standards and client specifications.
Team Leadership:
Coordinate and oversee day to day operations of field crews and office staff across multiple projects. Mentor, support, and help develop future field and project management talent.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, upper management, and internal departments. Represent the company professionally in meetings, client interactions, and industry events.
Technical Quality Control:
Ensure accurate control settings, leveling, calculations, and as-built surveys for projects. Establish and maintain site control networks and benchmarks. Review and verify survey data, drawings, calculations, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
Financial & Operational Oversight:
Develop project schedules, staffing plans, budgets, proposals, contracts, and billing oversight. Manage project deliverables, timelines, financial performance, and accounts receivable.
Business Growth:
Participate in business development opportunities and help expand construction staking presence. Work collaboratively across departments to improve processes and maximize efficiency.
Problem Solving:
Troubleshoot field and operational issues quickly while maintaining strong communication and professionalism. Perform additional duties that support strategic growth goals.
Requirements:
Education:
Four year degree required.
Experience:
Direct and extensive experience in construction surveying, construction staking, and project management.
Leadership:
Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team, including managing large scale construction projects and multiple crews.
Domain Knowledge:
Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction staking projects.
Plan Reading:
Proven ability to read and interpret civil and structural CAD drawings, plans, and specifications.
Technical
Skills:
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Bluebeam, Micro Station, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Hands-on experience with Trimble GPS equipment, robotic total stations, and related field technology.
Preferred Certifications & Background:
Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license preferred.
Degree in Surveying or a closely related field preferred.
