Project Manager (Mechanical)

Gavin Heath is partnering with a client in the Garland, TX area looking to add a Project Manager to their team. The role is a Direct Hire position.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful delivery of commercial and industrial construction projects, specifically overseeing our mechanical/structural scopes of work.
• Oversees all phases of a project, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, resource allocation, subcontractor management, client relations, and project closeout activities.
• Accountable for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
• Serves as the primary liaison between field operations, company leadership, and customers, ensuring successful project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee large scale commercial & industrial construction projects from set up to close out related to the data center, power generation, renewables, mining, and oil & gas construction industries.
• Responsible for recruiting, managing and leading teams of employees, including Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators.
• Supervises the daily work of employees.
• Verifies conformance of finished work product, including overseeing compliance with all contract requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring all safety and environmental requirements are met.
• Coordination of all labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources with Project subordinates to ensure timely, cost-effective completion of project.
• Assures all employees within the team know and follow the company safety and work rules and policies.

Qualifications include:

• Engineering or Construction Management Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing industrial or commercial construction projects.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Mechanical field.
• Strong leadership, effective communication, financial management
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining positive relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Preferred:
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job costing program.
• Experience with P6 or similar scheduling software.
• Experience with Viewpoint or similar account software.
• Experience with Heavy Bid or similar estimating software.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
• Completion of OSHA or equivalent safety training.
• Ability to travel.
• Driver's license with a clean driving record.
