Position Summary

GEOMET Recycling is seeking an Admin Cashier to join our team. This is a front-line, customer-facing role responsible for delivering excellent service while ensuring accurate and efficient financial transactions. This position plays a key role in daily operations and requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Greet customers and provide a friendly, professional experience
  • Process high-volume cash transactions accurately and balance daily cash drawer
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately
  • Maintain and update customer records in the company specific system (ROM)
  • Create customer accounts, including processing applications and issuing cards
  • Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with state recycling regulations and company procedures
  • Maintain organized records and support administrative tasks as needed
  • Assist in resolving customer questions or concerns in a professional manner

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of cashiering and/or office experience
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to stay organized and accurate in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable handling cash and maintaining accountability for transactions
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Experience in the recycling/scrap metal industry is a plus, but not required.
