The hospital operates as a Level 1 trauma center providing comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialties. The facility maintains advanced capabilities for orthopedic, neurological, vascular, pediatric trauma, general surgery, gynecological, and robotic procedures. Additional services include off-site procedural areas such as interventional radiology, endoscopy suites, electrophysiology/cardiac catheterization laboratory, ERCP facilities, and MRI services.

This region of Maine offers diverse outdoor activities centered around natural attractions and recreational opportunities. Visitors can explore various nature and wildlife areas throughout the region with hiking trails and outdoor adventures available year-round. The location provides opportunities for both relaxation and active recreation in a scenic natural setting.

The anesthesiologist will provide coverage for 8-hour day shifts with five days per week preferred over four days. The clinician will supervise CRNAs while maintaining 50% hands‑on involvement in cases. Responsibilities include managing Level 1 trauma cases across multiple specialties including orthopedic, neurological, vascular, pediatric, trauma, general surgery, gynecological, and robotic procedures. The position requires utilization of EPIC EMR system and coverage of off‑site procedures including interventional radiology, endoscopy, electrophysiology/cardiac catheterization lab, ERCP, and MRI procedures with no call requirements.
