• Create a new Prism entry-level electrician apprentice course including a detailed course curriculum, course outline, Power Points, class activities, homework assignments, training activities, pre-course test, post-course test, recommended books, and a follow-up jobsite visit verification of learning checklist.
• Follow up with jobsite visits and productivity evaluations to ensure the employee can complete the items taught in the class on the jobsite. The Corporate Trainer will teach these classes.
• Review current course curriculum and update it to current electrical-specific and electrical-related material.
• Redesign, organize, and retype learning objectives with all items listed above.
• Develop course syllabus and course outline, class Power Points, class activities and exercises (15+) with answer keys, and homework assignments with answer keys.
• Prepare and provide pre-course and post-course tests with answer keys.
• Select recommended books for each class and create an acknowledgment learning verification checklist for jobsite visits after the course is complete.
• Create a training program that best fits the business unit(s).
• Gather information from subject matter experts (SMEs) to create and develop the course curriculum and organize information into training modules.
• Teach SMEs on effective classroom engagement, motivation, and delivery; prepare SMEs prior to each class to ensure time management.
• Attend every training course and provide constructive feedback for improvements to presentation and delivery methods.
• Administer class surveys and track them for every class during each training course.
• Keep training materials and PowerPoint slides updated according to Prism SOP.
• Monitor enrollment of apprentices into accredited programs at time of hiring; follow up with new hires to ensure enrollment in the first available semester in the apprenticeship school.
• Monitor apprentice grades and attendance; keep supervisors informed and ensure required documentation is submitted.
• Serve as liaison to all apprentices regarding schooling, quarterly evaluations, grade reviews, and arranging additional tutoring with a supervisor as needed.
