Join Our Team as an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist at Epiroc!
The EHS Specialist ensures safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible operation within a heavy manufacturing environment. This role provides hands‑on leadership across production and support areas to drive a proactive, zero‑incident safety culture. Responsibilities include regulatory reporting, hazardous waste and chemical management, emergency response coordination, worker risk assessments, incident investigation and root cause analysis, training delivery, compliance audits, environmental program support, and continuous improvement.
The objective of this role is to protect employees, the environment, and business operations by implementing effective EHS programs, maintaining regulatory compliance, reducing risk, and embedding safety into daily manufacturing activities.
Work Type:
Onsite, Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Regulatory & Corporate Reporting:
- Support the SHEQ Manager in all regulatory and corporate reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate records for inspections, incidents, training, compliance activities, and audits.
- Track and analyze EHS metrics to identify trends and support strategy development.
- Serve as the Emergency Response Leader for the organization.
- Develop, maintain, and lead to emergency response procedures and drills.
- Conduct worker risk assessments for safety and occupational health hazards.
- Partner with leads & supervisors to eliminate or reduce hazardous conditions.
- Champion a zero‑incident culture through proactive risk assessments and engagement.
- Monitor PPE use and safety equipment compliance.
- Review accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Lead and support investigations using root cause analysis.
- Develop, implement, and track corrective actions.
Training & Engagement:
- Identify EHS training needs and deliver EHS training.
