The Wiring Coordinator is responsible for the review of Engineering Documentation before it’s ready to be released to Production and ensure that changes (Red Lines) are captured on each of the drawings. Perform assembly as required, provide and share best practices with Team Leads, Team Members and Supervisors. Perform all assignments within acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions.
Monitors the quality of work performed by electricians and assures timely completion of assigned work. Trains electrical staff including on-the-spot coaching when identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Technical Coordination & Production Support
- Coordinate daily activities of wiring teams, ensuring workflow efficiency and alignment with project schedules.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wiring team activities, identifying issues early and taking corrective action to keep projects on track.
- Make redline drawing requests for all projects to the Engineering Team following the established Redline process.
- Document daily repairs, modifications, and production updates; generate reports as needed.
- Perform physical labor required to support production, troubleshooting, and wiring tasks.
- Technical Quality Control
- Enforce adherence to electrical standards, manufacturing specifications, and internal quality requirements across all wiring activities.
- Conduct regular in-process inspections to verify technical accuracy, workmanship quality, and compliance with engineering drawings.
- Identify recurring defects, quality trends, or process failures and work with Engineering/Quality to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Assist in validating first-article builds, ensuring assemblies meet design intent before full-scale production.
- Ensure all test procedures, workmanship standards (e.g., IPC/UL), and regulatory guidelines are followed throughout assembly stages.
- Support Quality Engineers during audits, root cause analysis, and product nonconformance investigations.
- Facilitate and document project stage-gate reviews, ensuring all technical and quality criteria are met before advancing to the next phase.
- Verify completion of required documentation—including redlines, test results, signoffs, and quality records—before gate closure.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management to track open items, risks, and readiness checkpoints prior to key project milestones.
- Ensure wiring deliverables align with project technical baselines and revision-controlled documentation before release or shipment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Engineering to resolve technical issues, implement design changes, and verify drawing accuracy.
- Coordinate with Test teams to align testing schedules, resolve failures, and ensure readiness for system integration.
- Work with Quality teams to maintain compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing wiring processes, build quality, and throughput.
