POP Engineer​/Designer

Overview

Job Description Custom manufacturer in the Dallas area is looking for a Design Engineer to develop accurate and complete shop drawings and specifications for Store Fixtures, Point of Purchase Displays and Merchandisers.

• Using Solid Works to generate solid models and drawings with input from project teams.
• Ability to translate design concepts into products that can be manufactured.
• Provide design input from prototype development through production.
• Process ECN’s, RFC’s and utilize our Solid Works PDM system.
• Interface with vendors to design and specify components with cost and availability in mind.
• Manage multiple projects with attention to schedule requirements.
• Ability to communicate technical information; clear and concise language; drawing skills; clear and professional emails.

• Strong knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and sequence of assembly. In addition, the ability to quickly identify variances and problems within the manufacturing process.
• This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Qualified candidates must have 2 years of relevant industry experience.
• 2 years’ experience with Solid Works
• CNC/CAM programming is a plus.
