Senior Executive Recruiter at LHH/Parker and LynchLHH is seeking a Plant Controller on behalf of a long-standing, growth‑oriented manufacturing organization. This role supports two production sites and plays a critical leadership role in managing cost accounting, financial reporting, inventory oversight, and operational decision support. The ideal candidate brings deep manufacturing finance experience, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring timely and accurate reporting across the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee standard costing, gross margin management, bills of materials, and product cost structures.
- Manage and analyze manufacturing variances, including PPV, labor, overhead, scrap, and inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor and resolve inventory and purchasing variances; ensure accuracy in cycle counts, back flushing, and inventory control processes.
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and plant leadership to optimize working capital and inventory levels.
- Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, capital expenditure justifications, and financial presentations for plant and divisional leadership.
- Support or oversee finance staff (direct or dotted line) across multiple sites, ensuring standardized processes and reporting.
- Maintain strong internal controls and support SOX‑related compliance activities, audits, and reporting requirements.
- Provide decision support for pricing, productivity initiatives, and strategic operational planning.
- Drive continuous improvement in systems, ERP utilization, reporting automation, and financial processes.
- Travel between assigned production sites as needed (approximately 15–20% initially).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing plant controllership or cost accounting leadership role.
- Strong background in standard costing, manufacturing variances, and inventory management.
- Experience supporting or managing multiple sites or business units.
- Hands‑on experience with inventory and warehouse operations.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and operational workflows.
- Familiarity with SOX/internal controls and balance sheet accounting (preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Prior experience in Oracle ERP preferred; experience with ePic or other manufacturing systems is a plus.
