LHH has partnered with a telecommunications company in the Garland, TX area. The company is seeking a Commercial Collections Specialist with over 5 years of experience. The role offers a hybrid schedule and is paying $25-30/hr.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor aging reports and follow up on delinquent accounts to drive DSO improvement.
- Build strong relationships with customers to resolve billing issues and obtain payment details, always ensuring the highest level of customer service.
- May serve as an escalation point/mentor for junior team members.
- Review customer accounts regularly and provide timely recommendations for credit holds, terms review, etc.
- Reconcile customer statements, open credits, and credit card payment declines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Participate in weekly AR reviews and special projects as needed.
- Provide timely ad-hoc reporting to operations and finance teams.
- Support system implementations and process improvements related to AR and collections.
- Ensure compliance with company KPIs and SOX/internal controls.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred;
Associate’s degree with equivalent experience accepted, or relevant experience. - 6+ years of Order-to-Cash experience (collections, billing, or cash applications).
- Experience in B2B collections.
- Experience with ERP systems (JDEdwards or equivalent);
Blackline experience preferred.
