The Opportunity
Our client is a premier professional services firm specializing in large-scale construction and industrial project services.
We are seeking a seasoned Staff Accountant to join our client's lean, high-impact finance team. Reporting directly to a hands-on CFO, this is a pivotal role where you will move beyond basic data entry to take ownership of month-end processes and financial analysis. This is a permanent, full-time position designed for a professional who thrives in a "roll-up-your-sleeves" environment.
The Role
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the integrity of our day-to-day financial operations. You will work closely with our client's CFO to streamline the accounting function and ensure the business has the data it needs to continue its upward trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Cycle Accounting: Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the lifecycle of billing and payments, moving beyond clerical tasks to strategic management of cash flow.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or efficiency.
- Systems Management: Utilize our proprietary/industry-specific "SoHo" ERP system (similar to Quick Books) to manage project-based accounting.
- Collaboration: Provide support and oversight to administrative staff handling clerical duties, ensuring the lean team operates at peak efficiency.
- Competitive Pay: $80,000 base salary.
