Senior Financial Analyst, Data & Automation

Next Step Recruiting is partnering with a confidential client to hire a Senior Financial Analyst, Data & Automation. This role will support executive-level reporting, financial modeling, multi-entity analysis, and automation initiatives within a complex finance and accounting environment. The ideal candidate brings strong financial statement knowledge, advanced Excel and Power BI skills, and the ability to turn large data sets into clear, actionable insights for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze daily proforma financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and consolidated reporting
• Support executive decision-making through scenario modeling, financial projections, cash flow forecasting, NPV analysis, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis
• Validate multi-entity rollups, eliminations, reporting hierarchies, and source-system data tied to consolidated financial results
• Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to improve reporting processes and build automation using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, ERP tools, programming, or AI-enabled solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, financial reporting, or multi-entity accounting environments
• Strong understanding of financial statements, consolidations, rollups, and eliminations
• Advanced Excel (including Power Pivot) and Power BI experience
• Experience with financial automation, ERP reporting tools (SAP, Hyperion, etc.), and data analytics; CPA, CFA, SQL, or AI analytics exposure is a plus
