EMS Operations Manager

Overview

A growing organization in the commercial HVAC controls / building automation space is seeking an Operations Manager to lead field operations, project execution, and team performance. This role will oversee service, installation, and controls projects while driving efficiency, quality, and profitability.

This is a key leadership position for someone who understands how to run HVAC controls operations in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.

• Lead daily operations across HVAC Controls / BAS service, installation, and project teams
• Manage and develop field technicians, project managers, and support staff
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
• Oversee scheduling, manpower planning, and resource allocation
• Partner with sales and estimating to support project pipeline and execution
• Monitor project financials, including labor utilization, margins, and cost controls
• Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Identify and implement process improvements to support growth

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC Controls / Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Leadership experience in operations, field management, or project delivery
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and controls integration
• Experience with platforms such as Niagara, Distech, Metasys, Tracer, or similar
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and priorities
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience in mission-critical environments
• Background scaling operations or improving operational efficiency
