Under limited supervision, the heavy mobile & Industrial equipment mechanic position performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and assists with overseeing the preventive maintenance program; performs related work as assigned.

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
• Reads and interprets operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs Mobile and stationary processing equipment.
• Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers  specifications.
• Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of Trucks, Trailers, and other associated equipment.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports.
• Assists with overseeing and maintaining the Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Complies with OSHA safety and health rules. Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
• Properly follows company safety procedures. Brings problems to the attention of the Maintenance Manager or Leadership Team.
• Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Attends all company-required safety meetings.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment.
• 3-5 years of experience and/or training in vehicle/construction equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education.
• Training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
