- Responsible for internal and external defect detection, identification, classification, and prevention.
- Verify product conformance based on visual inspection, dimensional measurement, and performance measurement (including in‑process audits, Blue Tag, and Green Tag audits, and recording in the GiG system).
- Perform all duties related to Quality, including participation in design reviews, FMEAs, product improvement teams, internal audit teams, or other efforts to prevent non‑conformance or develop corrective action.
- Function within the guidelines of the latest issue of the Quality Procedure Manual and Work Instructions, including documentation and recommendations.
- Interact with Supplier Quality group and receiving inspection areas to prevent recurrence of non‑conforming material.
- Understand product requirements, specifications, and applicable reference standards; evaluate requirements and recommend changes when applicable.
- Understand reject process and complete appropriate paperwork for rejected parts.
- Maintain knowledge of the non‑conforming parts holding area.
- Follow prescribed safety regulations/guidelines.
- Perform other duties as required or directed.
- Train manufacturing personnel in assembly and/or weld processes.
- Required to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process, reject process, rig or product knowledge, audit process, root cause analysis, Quality Management System, and internal audit process.
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Training period: 12 months for total proficiency.
- Prior positions/training: 24 months of experience as an assembler, welder (as required), and tester (preferred).
- May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Work may involve climbing up to 4–6 feet using ladders and crawling under rigs.
