SMT OPERATOR 2nd Shift

Location: Garland, TX 75041

Hours: 2nd Shift: (3:00 pm-11:30 pm) Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $16.00-$22.00/hr (Depending on Experience)

Job Summary: Looking for motivated individuals with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) operation set up experience. Candidate should be familiar with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly particularly working with SMT equipment such as screen printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machines. An understanding of the SMT Assembly Process is required which includes the identification of SMT component packages.

Certification in IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 is a plus. MUST have SMT operator experience. Know IPC‑A‑610 Standards.

Responsibilities

Perform component feeder operation and setup.

Perform solder paste stencil printing, stencil printer operation.

Operate reflow oven.

Identify surface mount components.

Load machine programs and make needed adjustments to improve solder paste print and or component placement on related equipment.

Ability to read and understand assembly (BOM) bill of materials.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Perform basic machine troubleshooting.

Able to operate equipment efficiently as measured by daily production requirements.

Verify and meet acceptable quality standards.

Set up, operate and manage SMT line.

Use knowledge of IPC‑A‑610 standards to help improve manufacturing process and quality.

Use CIS or CIT / IPC J‑STD‑001 certification.

Requirements

Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Prior Experience as an SMT Operator.
Able to work on your feet most of the shift.
Knowledge of IPC‑A‑610 Standards.
Able to work M-F 8‑hour shift (7 am 3:30 pm).
Knowledge in Hand Soldering.
Knowledge in SMT Operation.
Knowledge in Electronics Manufacturing.
Knowledge in AOI.
Knowledge in Working in ESD environment.
Knowledge in Ipc-610 knowledge.
