Job Title
Operate extrusion machines in a work cell to produce lineals as determined by the production schedule and customer requirements.
Primary Responsibilities- Uphold individual and plant safety; participate in safety initiatives and activities.
- Evaluate and inspect part conformance against documented quality specifications.
- Control material flow to and from the line as needed, raw materials and finished product.
- Maintain process stability and refer complex problems to the appropriate resources.
- Complete necessary documentation; process condition checks, quality checks, production reporting.
- Set-up and start-up any profile for all machines in a work cell
- Comply with standard work, JHA's, control plans, work instructions and quality specifications. Work with support staff on keeping standard work documents current and relevant to defined output.
- Perform tear downs and changeovers to defined standards to meet product specifications.
- Knowledge of product, process, and customer's expectations within the value streams upstream and downstream processes.
- Identify problems and make suggestions for problem solving with the use of AMS tools and standards for continuous improvement concepts, and works with the support staff, management and maintenance on corrective action to resolve.
- Practice and maintain 6S principles on extrusion line and in the workplace.
- Perform emergency shutdown procedure according to standard work
- Complete Operator Skills Training Levels 1,2,3
- Rotate and cross train as required through multiple jobs.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Load trucks & prepare shipping documentation if needed (PIT)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years' experience or equivalent in a related field of manufacturing; plastics, fabrication, extrusion, pultrusion.
- Basic computer skills.
- PIT training / fork license required for some tasks.
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills.

PROFIT SHARING:
In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
