Solder Technician
We are seeking detail-oriented SMT Operators with 1–3 years of experience to support high-quality electronics manufacturing operations. The SMT Operator will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating SMT assembly line equipment, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens. This role ensures efficient production while maintaining strict quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, quality-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities- Set up, program, and operate SMT assembly line equipment, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens.
- Ensure efficient production while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Read work instructions, BOMs, and basic PCB layouts.
- Perform first article inspections and troubleshoot minor machine or process issues.
- Conduct AOI inspections and solder paste inspections.
- Analyze PCB defects and apply lean manufacturing principles.
- Soldering and SMT equipment operation.
- Basic machine programming and setup for SMT lines.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610 preferred).
- Ability to read work instructions, BOMs, and basic PCB layouts.
- Basic computer literacy, including machine interfaces and MES systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training preferred.
- 1–3 years of SMT or electronics manufacturing experience.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to learn and grow within manufacturing.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
