Machine Operator – Punch​/Shear CNC

Punch/Shear One Piece Flow Machine Operator – TMI Climate Solutions LLC (part of Marmon Holdings)

• Insert key control instructions into the operating system of the machine.
• Prepare, adjust, and operate CNC punch and laser machines (Salvagnini S4 and SL4) in accordance with procedures, standards, and requisitions.
• Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, and modify controls when automatic programming is faulty or the machine malfunctions.
• Make machine adjustments to ensure product quality.
• Review program specifications or plans to determine and define machine operations and sequencing, finished part dimensions, or CNC sequences.
• Check accuracy of part dimensions using various gauge types.
• Program codes and parts.
• Check cooling systems.
• Examine electronic components for defects or verify the integrity of the laser beam cutting using a microscope.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Perform tasks while respecting safety rules.
• Identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
• May be called upon to work on other equipment, depending on production needs.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

• High School Diploma or DVS.
• Relevant experience with CNC punch and/or punch and laser machines. Experience in HVAC is an asset.

• Read and accurately interpret production drawings.
