TMI Climate Solutions LLC, a Marmon Holdings company, is launching a new facility in Mesquite, Texas, and seeks Welders to support plant operations.

Responsibilities
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Clamp, heat‑bend, and bolt component parts to achieve required configurations and positions for welding.
  • Operate manual or semi‑automatic welding equipment using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux‑cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, and resistance welding.
  • Examine work pieces for defects and measure to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
  • Chip off excess weld, slag, or spatter using hand scrapers or portable grinders.
  • Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
  • Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other alloys.
  • Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
  • Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.
  • Position and secure work pieces using hoists, cranes, wire, and banding machines or hand tools.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using straightening presses and hand tools.
  • Set up and use ladders and scaffolding as necessary to complete work.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and/or DVS.
  • Relevant experience as a Welder in a manufacturing environment; HVAC experience is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience operating manual or semi‑automatic welding equipment (TIG, MIG, flux‑cored, plasma, SMAW, resistance welding).
  • Knowledge of metal surface preparation and cleaning.
  • Strong attention to detail, precision, and consistency in work.
  • Ability to identify issues proactively and implement effective solutions.
  • Versatility, autonomy, and accountability in task execution.
  • Team‑player skills and willingness to collaborate with machinery operators, frames, and weld inspectors.
  • Willingness to engage in training and development opportunities.
  • Continuous enhancement of technical and procedural knowledge.
  • No computer or advanced software skills required.
  • No certificates or licenses required.
