Join our Hotmelt department, where precision, pacing, and teamwork turn raw materials into finished adhesive products. We have immediate openings on 2nd and 3rd shift and offer shift differential pay.
A day in the role Begin by reviewing batch tickets and formulas to understand the exact materials, quantities, and sequence for the run.
Measure and stage ingredients using scales, adjusting to the specified weight before adding to the vat, hopper, or mixing pot in the prescribed order.
Start up equipment, watch operating conditions closely, and halt and report any malfunction to your supervisor.
Track time and temperature throughout the batch as directed on the ticket, and document all production data (weights, product type, dates, batch numbers).Move weighed materials to production or storage locations and keep perpetual inventory updated with markings and scans.
Inspect materials, in-process product, and containers at each stage to ensure quality.
Rotate through different stations on the line as you cross-train from start to finish.
Wrap up by cleaning your area, tools, machines, and equipment, and assist with other tasks as needed.
What you’ll bring
Commitment to safety and adherence to all procedures and PPE requirements.
Ability to speak, read, and write English well enough to follow instructions and document work.
Comfort using scan guns to control and report inventory activity (we will train).Strength and stamina to lift 55 lb bags repeatedly and work an 8-hour shift on your feet (open to any shift).Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) for accurate batching and recording.
Readiness to work in a hot, dusty, non-climate-controlled environment while wearing PPE.Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Willingness to complete ongoing safety training and learn Lean manufacturing techniques.
Interest in learning to operate a forklift safely.
Comfort with standing, walking, lifting, bending, and climbing stairs for the duration of the shift.
High school diploma or GED.Pay and benefits
